Dennis Jensen is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of UDK Solutions, a leading general contractor specializing in reconstruction of commercial and residential properties damaged by water, fire or other destructive forces.
Mr. Jensen has spent many years developing expertise and knowledge in the restoration industry. He began his career in 1974 doing minor water damage mitigation and building renovations. Realizing a niche market he began promoting the concept of restoring damaged components of buildings rather than replacing them to insurance companies. Soon after, his carpentry and management skills paid off, and he began restoring homes damaged by fire and smoke. Everything else fell into place. Today, the company he founded is Utah's number one restoration firm, and recognized as the largest and most capable restoration contractor serving the communities along the Wasatch Front and surrounding areas. Since 1974, Mr. Jensen has added four supporting divisions to the company. Electronic Decontamination Specialist, Intermountain Construction and Recovery Alliance, Interior Design Specialist , and Disaster Kleenup Serving Treasure Valley, ID. In 2004, he organized an advertising agency that specializes in the restoration industry called Restoration Media Marketing (RMM). RMM provides TV, radio and Billboard advertising solutions for restoration contractors throughout the United States and Canada.
Dennis earned his Certified Restorer (CR) status in 1985. The CR designation is considered to be the highest vocational certification in the restoration industry. Denny served as the Chairman of the Certified Restores Program from 1986 – 1989. He was then asked to serve as the President of the National Institute of Disaster Restoration NIDR from 1990 - 1992. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Association of Specialists (ASCR). Denny was one of the founding members of Disaster Kleenup International (DKI) and served several terms as President of that organization. His involvement with DKI continues today as he serves on the board of directors. An award was created in 1996 and has since become one of the most prestigious honors awarded by DKI. Recipients are given this award for outstanding contributions to the educational advancement of it's members by selflessly sharing knowledge base and innovation with fellow restorers. The award was named the M. Dennis Jensen Award to commemorate the outstanding contributions of this DKI founder. |
